I have around £850 to spend on a Mountain Bike and I am thinking about going for the 29inch type. I ride on road about 120 miles each week from home, to work. The bike is used for around 30miles of road each week too. I only require one bike so I think the 29 inch model is the one for me. I have looked at the Scott Scale Comp 29 the Gary Fisher Cobia er 29 (Trek) but someone suggested the GT Karakorma 29 model 1. I do not know which one to go for so any advise will be great.

If I had that money for a 29er I'd be going for the Karakoram 1 in green, never liked the look of a GT hardtail before but this one's a stunner, and is well specced to boot.
That 'Dale looks nice, but from experience of my brothers 26" wheeled trail SL5 the quality of the frame vastly outweights the rest of the spec. Which is great if you want to be upgrading, not so great if you dont.0 -
Yeh that's a fair point re component spec, although mine's pretty good with just the Alivio front mech and chainset really letting it down. Gives me a great excuse to upgrade though2011 Cannondale Trail SL 29er HERE0

The Voodoo Bokor 29er at £680 is a good value option
