29er/700c CX wheel usability..?

If this seems like a really obvious question, apologies; my Focus CX bike has pretty average, cosmetically not very durable (paint peeling, rim corroding) 700c disk braked wheels, would 29er wheels be an upgrade route?

There don't seem to be many 700c wheelsets that are disc compatible, though I suppose that might change...
Litespeed Tuscany, Hope/Open Pro, Ultegra, pulling an Extrawheel trailer, often as not.

Yes, be wary of the rim width, minimum tyre size and clearances
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

OP has disc wheels, so already assumed they were 135mm OLN - 130mm OLN disc hubs do exist but never seen a pair.
