So i have been looking for a new set of tires lately and have had a hard time searching for something thats what i'd like to call the perfect combo. I really wanted to try the WTB Bronsons 2.1 but the lack of reviews on this tire made me hold off on them. So I decided to look for something cheaper for the moment and ran in to a few very good reports on the Ritchey zmax classic pro 2.35 front and 2.10 Ritchey zmax evolution wcs for the rear. I ride in South Florida where there is a huge variety of terrains from loose gravel, loose rocks, hardpack, wet roots etc etc. Has anyone hre used this combo? Or even if you are using either tire feel free to chime in with your experience. I already ordered these so i'll post my own review by the end of next week. Thanks in advance.

They were great, about 15 years ago. New ones could be different - I hope so.

I've just got a set of Z-Max Classic Pros in 2.35. I've done 18 miles on them, and other than them being really noisy on the one bit of tarmac I went on I didn't notice them at all, which to me says they did their job well. I hit loose gravel, towpath, hard trails and a couple of muddy spots. At £26 something for the pair I'm a happy bunny.
  • Thanks for the info guys. Should be getting mine tomorrow or the next day. Can't wait to test them out

I took them round the blue and the south loop of the red at Whinlatter; I ran out of balls before the tyres ran out of grip.
  • So i just installed the tires and will be testing them out tomorrow after work. I must mention that i am a bit disapointed at the size of the tires. Thank goodness i ordered a 2.35 for the front because the 2.1's i doubt are really even 1.9's. My Kenda Nevegal Stick-e 2.1 is bigger than the Z-max Pro 2.35. WTF Ritchey :x If you guys need new measuring devices i'd gladly donate some to you guys. I do wish i'd have ordered 2.35 for front and back.
