I have the 1/2 watt one. I had a problem with water ingress on a particularly wet day - I don't have mudguards.

I dried it out, smeared vaseline around the seal, refitted it and haven't had any more problems. I probably haven't been out in such a wet day since, though I have been out in rain.

I have the R1 on my TT bike and also a 7led one the same design, which has got wet.

The water pools in the switch (excellent design - not well sealed, water pools in switch...) so it all went rusty and required dismantling and cleaning-up.

I've smothered it in clingfilm, be surprised if it leaks now !

My Smart B'Spoke 1/2W rear is a different design to the Lunar 1/2w and hasn't leaked at all

Was going to say, clingfilm secured by an elastic band works a treat. just remove it every so often to ensure no moisture is getting in
