Hi,

I really like the sound of the Choruses ability to be able to multi-shift up and down.

At the moment I have Veloce, so can only multi-shift one way.

If I bought Chorus Shifters and put them on without changing anything else would I be able to use the full multi-shift functionality?

Cheers,
FJ

    Are your Chorus 11-speed?

Cheaper to source 2010 Ultratorque 10 speed shifters.

I'd have thought the Chorus would have different shift distances to the 10 speed anyway.

Rolf, I thought that might be the case with this years, but wasn't sure when Chorus moved to 11 speed!!

So the older Veloce shifters had that capability? And just these will be fine with the 2011 components?

I can't see why not - it is only this year that they downgraded the functionality of the 10 speed mechs. Pretty much, in 2010, the groupsets were the same aside from gear numbers and appearance. All were Ultratorque and all had multiple downshifts.

Now they've messed up the 10 speed mech groupsets with Powertorque, spoiled the appearance with dubious graphics and inflicted far less attractive brakes on them (though there will be less cleaning needed compared to the skeletons!).

So, Centaur and Veloce 2010 will work fine.

I think Chorus has been 11 speed for a while - I'd assume 2009. But the current Ergo levers are nicer than the old ones anyway so I'd stick with 2010 if I were you.
