New chainset from Compact 50-34t to new 53-39t - Any issues?

Hi,
I'm wanting to replace my FSA Gossamer Pro Compact BB30 (50-34t) chainset for a SRAM Red BB30 (53-39t) chainset.
I have Shimano 105 front/rear mech and shifters and a Shimano 10 speed cassette.
What I'm wanting to know is:
Will anything else need to be upgraded when changing my chainset from a compact?
Obviously some adjustments will have to be made, but is that it?
Will the chain length be ok?
Thanks in advance!

You will need to raise the front mech so that it is 1-3mm above the top of the outer (53) ring. You should google for instructions, though it's not hard. You may also have to re-set the limit screws on the front mech - the chainline may not be identical. You may also find the front mech cable is now too short to reach and it may need replacing. And as siad above, chain need to be longer. I suggest you get a connex chain or KMC chain as both have "quck links" that allow for easy removal/refitting for cleaning. Don't get an SRAM 10sp chain as their "powerlink" is not a re-usable one (unlike their 9sp links, as I discovered recenltly!)0

That's great, thanks for your help!0

Beware, and check that the new chainrings are 110mm BCD measurements. if not, then you'll be changing the cranks too, and maybe the BB.0

Yeah, I'm getting a new chainset so I don't need to worry about that anyway.
I come from a track background and although I have a fair bit of tech knowledge for lots of bikes, I just need that little bit extra help component wise i.e. gearing in this case!
Appreciate it.0
