Cannondale have relaxed the geometry of the CAAD8 recently so the Head Tube is an extra 1.5 cm (17cm on a 56 frame instead of a 15.5). The CAAD10 is also 100g+ lighter.

Hedge your bets. Get a CAAD9, better than both of them
    Specialized Venge S Works
    Cannondale Synapse
    Enigma Etape
    Genesis Flyer Single Speed

Turn the corner, rub my eyes and hope the world will last...

It's funny, I was keen to get a Caad9, partly due to internet banter and the hallowed last of the US built frames etc..

But when you look into it and apparently the Caad10 is stiffer, lighter and more comfortable than it's predecessor. This along with the warranty you get as the original owner made sense for me to buy the 10.

I am sure the 9 & 10 are great frames and only by riding them back to back would you possibly tell much if any difference?

What I never quite understand with the 9 and the last of the US built frames, is that it was a mass produced globally marketed frame, superb, but hardly rare?
