Probably worth buying at that price, but only a fool would pay full whack for those when you can get e.g Michelin Krylions for the same price.
    More problems but still living....
  • I disagree. My blizzards came with second hand wheels, and I've only had two pinch flats with them in about 1200 miles. I'd recommend them for training miles.

There's a lot more to a good tyre than just being fairly puncture-proof.

  • Maybe, but not so much when it comes to getting training miles in. Pump 'em up to the correct PSI and rolling resistance is fine too. Not my ideal choice for a race or TT. But fine for training I reckon.

I prefer good grippy tyres that ride well for training since I spend a lot more time training than I do racing. Seems silly riding crap tyres most of the time. Maybe it's just me....

  • I dont think I would call them crap. If, punctures are avoided that is a MAJOR +1 in my book. Time spent at the road side fixing punctures is time not training, particularly bad when you are the typical time crunched cyclist.

They're not crap, just not top of the range.
