£1500 all mtn machines? Help

I recently considered selling my intense tazer ht 2011 and I feel that I can probably get about £1500. I want something that is good for free ride DH but will also get up hills without killing me. I'm not Interested in the bight - I like to have a airshock. What do you reckon- bear in mind I'm coming from a super fast ht so I really don't want to feel sluggish.

That's a good buy. Would this be as good as a Giant Trance X Ltd (£1500) or a Specialized Camber Pro (£1899) for quality of components etc?

Depending on when or not you sell your hardtail you could get a Lapiere Zesty for around £1500 on the end of year sales.....

I understand that as "We Love La Pierre," these people were the biggest sellers of La Pierre MTB's nationally last year. They're also my local shop ands decent people to boot. Keen price by the looks of it.
