I have just bought one of these...

...to replace my Shimano 2300 Chainset, which is on a Specialized Allez 2010 - my understanding is that this is a Square Taper type? So is it a matter of purchasing an ISIS type BB, anything else to consider?

Any recommendations, at the cheaper end of the scale?

    Yes, you need an ISIS 108mm bottom bracket with BS thread
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • BS - British Standard?
    108mm is this based on me having an Allez frame?

    Thanks

    You'll also need a crank puller for the cranks you have now, and then get an ISIS crank puller for the cranks you're going to get.

    Otherwise they aint coming off once they're on!

    108mm spindle = road double chainset (there are only 3 ISIS sizes, double, triple and MTB)
    BS = British threaded.
    FWIW Hollowtech BB tool is same as ISIS and most crank pullers these days work for both square taper and hollow spindle BBs.
