I have already ordered, but awoke in a panic this morning..
swapped my 4 year long accumulation of reward points in my job for a pair of
Spesh BG s works carbon shoes..
I orderd size 45 as my current shoes are also 45 gaerne... but these Italian and like shimano need a size larger...
someone is going to say Spesh have their sizing properly sorted for us in the Uk and I should have ordered 44... arent you?

i've found specialized to be pretty accurate in their shoe sizing...but in saying that you will probably still be ok with the 45

You might have to change them. In my experience Spec shoes are nearer normal shoe size. I take 44 in Sidi and Giro but the Spec 44 were too big and the 43 not long enough but fine on the width.

  • I take a size smaller in spesh compared with Shimano. My spesh are the same size as my normal footwear.

    I go up a size for Spesh. I'm a 42 and wear a 43.

I've always gone one size up in Spesh (to a 45), inc. on the 2009 s-works road shoes. However when buying the 2010 version in the sale they didn't have a 45 so I figured I'd try a 44 on and was surprised they actually felt more roomy than my 09's, I think it's because the uppers are more supple. 2011 ones look pretty similar so I reckon you probably want your normal shoe size in them but you might be fine sizing up, can't you just return them if they are too big?

Cheers for all the hints.... the shoes are via a loyalty points system at work.. so might be a bit tricky to return.... ..if anyone has a pair of size 45... if you can measure from heel to toe, I can then compare to my Gaerne shoes which do seem long but are very comfy to wear.
I also remembered that these shoes are not designed for walking anyways, so bit more optimistic.

I have found Spesh to be one size smaller than Sidi hence 45 in Spesh is 46 in Sidi.
