Hey All,

Looking to see what you guys out there recommend ...

My wife and I ride a lot of cross country, usually between 25km and 40km (depends on the day, mood and weather).

Anyhow, we've both taken a few falls here and there and well been looking around for some pads (knee and maybe elbow) and there just seem to be a ton of brands lurking about ....

I've looked at:

POC Joint VPD Knee Pad or POC VPD Knee
661 Kyle Strait Knee Guards
Fox Launch Pro Knee Guard
TLD T-Bone

Any recommendations from you guys/gals out there who ride a lot of XC?

Thanks
Rob

I ride trails and xc in 661 Kyle Straits and 661 Chicken Wings - the Straits are comfy but can geta bit warm and sweaty but not too constricting. The wings can be a little uncomfy but arent too big or cumbersome. Try to get some on your arms to get the right fit before you buy.

I use the 661 kyle Straits. They are very comfortable. Would definitely buy again.

I use the POC's a bit more expensive but very comfy and after 2yrs still feel as good as the day i got them, tried the 661's but found they got too sweaty.

    ^^ these

The padding looks bulky but it's unobtrusive and they are immensely comfortable and stay put. The big cut-out at the back helps with cooling and prevents the material wrinkling. Can wear them all day no probs.

Have crash-tested them several times and they really work :)
