Hi looking to buy a bike for XC and trails in the near future.
What am I best doing. I dont want to really spend more that a grand
A. Buy a full sus bike that is right at the bottom end of the price scale or.
B Buy a hard Tail for about the same price that will have better componets than a similar priced full sus?
Please lend me your thoughts.

Only buy full suspension if you are prepared to replace suspension pivots and have the rear shock serviced on top of the usual things like brake pads, chain, cassette, chainrings, headset/wheel/bottom bracket bearings, the occasional spoke and fork servicing.
Being perpetually lazy and usually wielding a jet washer I'm probably going to go back to owning a hardtail soon.I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...
