Looking for a "nice" bike to compliment my SCR 3 commuter.
Apart from the wheels (which I think I would sell and upgrade from the off) and the not quite full compliment of 105 groupset, this seems like a good deal.
I really like the understated looks of the Genesis bikes, and shallow as it sounds looks matter a lot to me. I'm after something comfortable over distance yet engaging to ride at speed and the reviews suggest the frame is well suited to that. The nice bikes role would be sunny commuting (25 mile round trip) plus 50 milers (or more) on the weekends.
However, cold logic tells me another alu framed mid range bike isn't going to feel any different to my current SCR in the grand scheme of things, and that I should really invest more in something carbon or steel (Equilibrium appeals but is pricey) in order to have something genuinely different to the normal ride.
Any Aether owners care to chip in?
