I currently have a Giant 2.5 that is now a year old. This is mostly used for commuting 6 miles but also out with the kids at the weekend.
As I have now paid for this bike I was looking change it and sell this one. I am looking to spend around the £500 mark and was curently looking at the GT Avalanche 3.0 Hydro.
Is there anything better than this I should be looking at?

Have a look at Saracen Tufftrack or try getting a older sale model, some good deals around on 09/10 models.0

Best bikes for this money are the Carrera Fury and Decathlon Rockrider 8.1.
But what giant, an XTC 2.5? How come you want to change?0 -
Sorry guys its a Talon 2.5 always forget the important bits lol.
As I bought it through the company scheme thought I could sell this and it will go a long way towards the new one.0 -
The GT isn't any better than what you have though, and you are looking at getting £250 for the Talon meaning you'd need to splash out.
If you want a new bike the Carrera Fury, Kraken or Decathlon Rockrider 8.1 is the way to go. But personally I'd spend 200 quid on a good fork like the Recon Gold RL for your Talon.0
