I've just bought a second hand set of wheels (Carbon Tubs)

Can anyone give me any tips for the best way of removing the old tub cement, (it's a tape instead of a glue which has been used in the past)

Thanks

Allan

Because the rims are carbon, I'd avoid any strong solvents. Try and get as much off with a blunt scraper (old dinner knife). Some folks use nail varnish remover or acetone.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Heat it with a hair dryer and pick it off. Will take about an hour.

I used to use acetone, but now use white spirit. Easier to find, and cheaper...
Nail varnish is sh1te, it contais conditioning chemicals, etc, to look after your nails, which you don't need on your rim!
Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!
