Got a new pair about 8 weeks ago. The drive-side pedal I've noticed when sprinting or going uphill fast feels like the cleat is clicking in the pedal at 12 o'clock. It's a strange sensation as it feels like a little play.

I've changed the cleat, tightened the pedal release tension and checked for play in the pedal, but can't seem to find the problem. Any suggestions chaps?

are you 100% it's the pedal and not a spoke/seatpost/something else clicking?

Sounds like it may be chainring bolts: check they are tight.
I super glue the nut into the small chainring - this helps hold it in place when you pinch it up. It also means you don't have to get a specialist wide screwdriver gadget thingy to hold them or risk scratching it up by holding it in place with a screwdriver of the wrong size.

    - my Keo's squeek like heck and all I do is spray a little silicone lube on them: could never find out why. I think they are desigend to. My Keo carbons are, I think, over-rated and over priced.

It can be water in the BB, but modern sealed BB's don't tend to suffer this problem very often, unless you have got water down the seat tube (not uncommon)

It could be in your head !

    Good luck

Sounds daft, but a couple of weeks ago I noticed something similar on my bike, although I will admit there are no carbon pedals etc. Turned out to be the gear cable from the front mech was getting clipped every pedal stroke. I tucked it in and hey presto, no more noise. This would also fit with your 12 o'clock theory. Believe me I went through all sorts of scenarios before I found this.

100% sure it's not coming from anywhere else such as the saddle as I can physically feel the click through the ball of my foot, so it'll be related to; shoe, cleat, pedal, crank arm, and/or bottom bracket.

Mine too, maybe its a Surrey thing!

Have had new bb and cranks fitted since it started but still the same click, tried all the usual fixes no joy, so no idea of a solution I'm afraid.

Next step is to strip the bearings
