Hello,

I have a cube fritzz with a very very creaky back wheel! Must be the hub, just when I am pedaling uphill slow it creaks like mad! Driving me mad. Anyway looking for a new wheel to make it nice and quiet again. Looking at a pro 2 hub but with the 12mm maxel I have read they snap ALOT! Pitty as I like the look of them. The hub on the bike at the moment is a sunn ringle jumping flea. Someone on here has already told me they had the same problem with their sun ringle, fine one min and then creaking.

Any recomendations on a light enough but strong freeride hub for the 12 mm maxle? Needs to be strong as I do like alot getting plenty air and doing drops but light enough as I need to cycle to the top. Going to be putting it on an ex500 rim to match my dt 5.1 at the front.

Any help greatly apreciated.

Thanks
Kevin

Pro 2 EVO, apparently the axle has been beefed up to cope better with the 12mm Maxle.

Why not just service the one you have, much easier than a wheel build.

Also, I 'd check out a ton of other things before changing the rear hub - that's a pretty expensive job.
    Cranks/bb/pedals/saddle/.seatpost/bars/stem/chainrings/suspension pivots etc etc etc.

Service the Sun Ringle hub. Mine started creaking when it needed a new free hub.
I have got a pro 2 on my DH bike and to be honest I'm starting to find the loud ticking quite annoying.
I have just got a pair of Superstar hubs to put in my DH wheels, they look well built though I haven't got around to building them in to the wheels yet.
