Strange FD problem
Just as I arrived home last night the chain got stuck in the FD as I was going from the large ring to the middle. It sorted itself out so I didn't worry about it.
This morning I couldn't get it to go into the big ring at all, made a hell of a racket when I tried. So kept it in the middle ring until I got to work. When I looked the whole of the FD had dropped down so it couldn't move across to the big ring. Its position in the braze mount hadn't changed though :? :? :? .
To fix it I had to move the FD higher in the braze mount slot. Now the back of the FD is very close to the big ring (about 1mm) but the front is miles away. It looks like the whole mech has been twisted. I've tried applying quite a bit of force to see if it will twist back but it won't shift.
Any ideas ? I'm thinking of putting a shim between the bottom of the braze on and the FD to angle it back up.
