Sorry, I meant changing gear while riding on a road bike!
It was abit of a rushed post!
What I meant to ask was would I be able to shift rings decently between a 52 and 36?0 -
Doesn't the spec. of your mech have a maximum teeth jump figure between chainrings?"Coming through..."0

Most road double(standard and compact) have a capacity of 14t but tbh I have a Sram Red front mech on my TT bike and that handles 55/39 with no problemsNorfolk, who nicked all the hills?

Most compact chainsets are 34-50 so a 16T difference.
Hence 36-52 would work equally wellCommute: Langster -Singlecross - Brompton S2-LX
Road: 95 Trek 5500 -Look 695 Aerolight eTap - Boardman TTe eTap
Offroad: Pace RC200 - Dawes Kickback 2 tandem - Tricross - Boardman CXR9.8 - Ridley x-fire0 -
Mine does 50 - 30. Mind you, there's a 39 in between them.0
