Compatability, Ultegra 105 and Sram Force
Possible last minute change to my new build
Why oh why I'm not sure but I'd like the gear cables to be run under the bar tape and ribble have a good deal on new Ultegra kit. Question is will ultegra 6700 shifters work ok with a 105 5600 rear mech?
Edit:
OK this build could end up being a right mish mash. Will the following components work together
Shimano 105 5600 (the older one) groupset but with Ultegra 6700 (the newer one) shifters and a Sram force chainset?

After a bit of online research there may be some problems with the front mech . . . to biggie as a front mech is pretty cheap.
Can anyone confirm the compatability?0 -
Deffo okay with rear mech.
I think Shimano increased the spacing between double chain rings between 5600 and 5700 (also 6700). Having said that, it may work.
I think the pull ratios on the brakes are also different between 5600 and 6700.0 -
I have just put a 6700 RD with 105 5600 shifters and having a bit of trouble. If the 2nd smallest cog is perfect, then the 2nd largest is really noisy , and vice versa.
Looked at the shimano compatabilty chart and it looks like there may be an issue here, any ideas why ?
