I'm looking to buy a pair of Continental 4 seasons (700 x 25) and just wondered if anyone knew of a decent deal on these tyres. I've checked the usual sites but all well over £30. Cheers.

unless you're desperate for the Contis, I would suggest looking at Vittoria Rubino Pros - just as good, if not better IME....and probably a bit cheaper...0

I wouldn't touch Conti GP4Season : worst tyres I've ever had
- lots of p*nct*res, dreadful wet-weather grip, sidewall damage, awful to fit, felt wooden & slow0 -
Here you go: http://www.velo-motion.com/product_info ... eason.html
Have to say that I too have found the rolling resistance to be a lot higher than on Michelin Pro2s for example.0 -

A real example of how people can have completely different experiences using the same product. GP 4 seasons have been the best tyres I've ever used, I go thousands of miles between visits, they are fast rolling and I'm able to fit them without using tools. My only problem is that you can't really pick them up cheap. I usually stock up when Ribble have one of their extra discount sales, still cost over £25 each though.0 -
I came to road from MTB so can't really compare them to anything else. I specced them on my bike based on what I'd read, and a reccommendation from Epic who were building the thing. In 3 years I've had 2 punctures; one a massive thorn and the other a pinch flat from a pothole in the dark (and me being too lazy to pump the tyres up before going out)
On those occasions I found them easy enough to get on / off the rims, they are wearing extremely well, and for my kind of riding, I've never lost grip in the wet or dry (snow, ice and diesel don't count)
3 years and still going strong!0 -
In all fairness, I had 4 seasons on my winter bike a couple of years ago and they were pretty good. They ride a bit like cartwheels though, although I only had one puncture in that time - but the puncture was enough to trash the tyre, so any other tyre would probably have been exactly the same.
I've been using Rubino Pros for the last two winters and in my opinion they are lighter, they roll faster and are just as durable - no punctures yet. And they're a lot cheaper...0 -
Useful info; I'm always interested in something cheaper but just as good!0

Looking to replace Open Corsa Evo CX's. Wanted something more durable as I'm surrounded by freshly laid chip-seal. I realise 4 seasons may be overkill and they wont roll like the O/Cs but what's a good deal for my best bike for the summer months - considering the sh1te state of our roads? Running H/C Race Lite on my winter bike. Will check out the Rubino Pro's, thanks for the help0

Ribble have Conti Attack/ Force combo for £58 delivered.
Great tyres which kick 4 seasons into touch. More hardy than Vittorio's imho.
