Which gloves are best for a budget of about £15?

my current grips hurt my hands whilst riding, would it be better to simply buy some gloves or just change the grips?

Its very much a feel thing, sounds more like the grip pattern you have at the moment, what grips/gloves do you use currently?

If you decide on changing gloves then have a look at stif, 661 comps and fox attacks come in at 15-17 quid reduced. I think however finding a grip that suits you may help more

Gloves come in all sorts of different cuts, from different manufacturers. It would be pointless in listening to another rider's opinion, since his hands may differ from yours.

Ahh If you dont have gloves then there may ie the problem. before you change grips then try riding with some gloves. Like yeehaa says they are very much a feel thing though. The Fox's and 661's suggested are good quality kit, but for a first set of gloves I went to a LBS and tried on several pairs. When I found a pair I liked, i then trawled the net and found them cheaper.

Think you definitely need to get some gloves before changing the grips. I find most mtb grips uncomfortable if I don't wear gloves. Plus you'll appreciate this more if you fall off.

Regarding which ones to get the best thing is to go to a bike shop and try them on. The feel, fit and comfort caries tremendously from glove to glove and person to person. I wanted some Fox gloves but after trying half their range found a cheaper pair of Endura Full Monty to be more comfortable.

There's a Dakine pair- Drafter or Nomad I think- that CRC do for about £8, that is quite nice.

But otherwise, see if you can find a Fox you like the look of in your budget, they make gloves that work, last, and don't cost the earth. Most companies can only manage one or two out of the three it seems.
