Fitting Gatorskins

I will soon be fitting new Continental Gatorskins to my road bike do these tyres have to be fitted with the tread pattern pointing a certain ie forward, like other Continental tyres? cannot find any arrows on the tyre sidewall.

    It doesn't matter which way round you fit them.
    Tread pattern on road tyres is decorative, only really useful as a wear indicator.

    Pretty sure it doesn't matter, but get the chevrons pointing forward and you'll feel you've done the right thing.
