Why is there play in my Freehub Body?

My freehub body is sliding a good 5-10mm each way, towards and away from the wheel i.e. along the axle. It didn't used to do this (obviously).
What's gone wrong? Can I fix it?
They're planet x model b wheels, shimano.

Most likely the fixing bolt has come loose, accessed from the other side of the hub with the axle removed. Usually it requires a large allen key 10 / 11 / 12mm.
Or maybe there is something wrong internally with the bearings. He is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0 -
Have you remounted the cassette without the spacer ring on the inside?0

5-10mm movement - a centimetre of movement ? Sounds huge !
Won't be a missing Shimano 10sp spacer, as that's only 1mm thick so wouldn't cause 5-10mm movement (and OP says it's the freehub body anyway, not the cassette...)
Sounds like the body is not attached to the axle correctly, I'd go with topdude0 -
Bloody hell! I didn't think the threads amounted to 10mm; sounds like it's about to drop off completely.
Can't comment on dismantlement / reassembly; I'm a Shimano chap ATM.0 -
Thank you all. Manglier's was a fair suggestion (and probably accounts for most questions like this), but it's the freehub body itself. And, like andy_wrx and keef66 say, the movement is, well, considerable.
I'll get hold of the right size cone spanner (my toolbox:13, 14, 15, 16. my wheel: 17 haha) and take it apart.
In the meantime, there is another option. there is a hole on the freehub body that looks like a grease injection hole but is actually for something called the "stop bolt" See the exploded diagram, n9:

Anyone know what this does?0
