at a LBS. Got free Look Keo's and a free cateye wireless thrown in too. Quite happy.
BUT
the sales guy has made a boo boo on the invoice, the balance to pay is £879 and I only whacked a £20 deposit down. Hmmmm, as a consumer what are my rights

As far as your consumer rights I'm not too sure, but try it on and see how you get on if you're that way inclined. I guess you have to wonder if screwing your LBS over will benefit the other customers who have to pay higher prices to make up for it. What would I do? :twisted:0

Dear God, surely the winky thing at the end gave the game away, no? Oh well.0 -
I had almost exactly the same dilemma buying my 105 Synapse - the dealer had forgotten to put one of the extras above and beyond what I'd negotiated to be included on the invoice... 50 quid's worth. (I got free 105 pedals, interest free, and some other bits included)
Call be stupid, but I pointed out the missing bit
Anyhow, get the bike picked up and get riding it! I'm enjoying mine far too much, and lavishing it with gifts in an effort for it to magically make me go faster by having a carbon fibre pump, garmin edge, etcSynapse Alloy 105 / Rock Lobster Tig Team Sl0 -
Bizarre - I finally took the plunge and bought one a Synapse 105 at lunchtime today...
Nearly bought a SuperSix, but in enough trouble as it is...! :twisted:FCN 3 / 40 -
So how does the bike handle? Is it light on climbs? I'm riding a Secteur and find it good but I'm ready to step up a grade.
Any info gladly received.0 -
This is my first road bike in... er... around 25 years. (Damn, I'm getting old).
Previous one was a Peugeot Equipe
How does it handle? Compared to a Rock Lobster mountain bike it's a hell of a lot more direct.
How does it climb? Compared to the Rock Lobster, a hell of a lot easier!
Can I do it anywhere near justice yet? No!
Am I enjoying it hugely? Yes!
Are the brakes/gears/cranks/wheels/whatever great? Yes!
First thing to upgrade? Tyres, I think, once they've worn out a bit.
Right, I'm off for a ride, I think... That'll do for the week!Synapse Alloy 105 / Rock Lobster Tig Team Sl0 -
Hi there,
Good choice of bike there....hope you don't have the same wait that I did,
Ordered my bike on the 1st week of february, and was told it would be at my LBS on April 27th....then a phone call to say it's not arrived, and I would have to wait and hope it's on the next container due in the UK on june 10th,which luckily it was....only the bad news was, I went into hospital on june 8th for a hernia operation and been recovering since,so I havn't been out on it yet !!!!0 -
How much should the bike cost (I'm guessing more)?!
If so, I'd be honest and tell them (especially if its hundreds). Apart from anything else, the sales assistant may get hit quite hard if his error has cost the company a lot of money.
Apologies if I've missed the point, or whatever. I'm not good with those damned little yellow faces.0 -
Congratulations to all the new Synapse owners!
How does it handle?
I assume we are talking the carbon framed model - good.
But my exerience is with the 2008 older version (round seat post - not aero!)
Can't think there would be much difference tho' - Enjoy!
However I think I would prefer the alu CAAD 9.
I also own a 2004 CAAD8 - superb frame!
Slightly harsher ride maybe - but so nice to ride.
Desite newer purchases -still my No 1 bike.0
