In the hunt for loads of things at the minute, need a new saddle as part of my shopping list as the standard Carrera was is not too kind on the backside
In my experience until your butt toughens up you'll get a pain in the bum from any saddles, try to get out regularly for a few weeks and you'll soon get used to it.
If you do ride regularly and the saddle is still painful, I run and SDG Bel air and it is very nice.
Certainly the best thing I upgraded. Looks incredibly small and uncomfortable to my non cycling friends, but the slightly hard faux leather surface and thin profile makes you feel really planted on the bike, pedalling is easier.
By way of contrast, I tried a padded gel saddle and for all its comfort when sitting directly on it (no weight on bars or pedals) pedalling became increasingly worrisome as my hips did all manner of crazy things.
Aaah sorry.
It was an Evans only special, so if sold out I think that's it. Think Wiggle got an orange one.
I have one, debating whether to get the matching grips.
I'm going to give the SDG aliso a shout, 26 quid for a cromo, I got ti's for both my bikes for 35 nores a piece and its the comfiest saddle I've owned. Similar to a belair but with a wider nose which is great for perching on to climb I find.
Dunno what kind of blue you were looking for but they have a funky turquoise/black check version

have you got a link??
There you go. I would be tempted to persever for a while more. check your saddle height and position too, before blowing money you don't need to.
Check this link.

That is for height and at the bottom of the article is a link to one for saddle position. Hope this helps.
