manitou lockout switching on its self.

i have a cube ltd series hardtail which is causing me no end of problems,the latest of these being the suspension(manitou minute).the remote lock out switch snapped so i did away with it and decided to use suspension manually.shortly after it started switching itself on even after just bouncing of a kerb.any ideas how to sort this without buying a new lock out set?
