Is it worth paying a lot of money on a new cassette?
I always use Shimano ultegra cassettes and its time for a new one but they have got expensive, and whats the difference in the 6500, 6600 and the 6700 cassettes?

I think you will find the biggest difference is weight

Just use 105 cassettes. Cheaper and the difference in weight is minute.

    6500 are 9sp, 6600 & 6700 are 10sp - no real difference between these two

6500 is a 9 speed as already stated. The 6600 has a 12/27 and the 6700 has a 11/28 in the gearing options. The 6600 and 6700 are interchangeable 10 speed cassettes.
