Fitted a pair last sunday.
30 miles later rear has a massive cut right through the carcass. Now in bin.
Have I been super unlucky?
At about £30 thats £1 per mile ! :(

Think I'll go to gatorskins.

The fortezzas felt ok but not that different in comfort or roling resistance.

Maybe I need more than 30 miles to acquire the feel ! lol

anyway I blame wiggle !

Could be any number of things. I've done training runs, been on the turbo and crit raced on Fortezza Superlites over the last few months (including a few high-speed offs on the gravel) and they've been fine.

You do need to heed the psi levels though - they have to be higher than normal, 120psi minimum.

Very unlucky, I'd say. I've had one puncture in 3000 miles on my Quattro Tricomps. Not the quickest tyres, though, and you do need to keep them at 110psi minimum.

Another vote in the very unlucky column.

I love these tyres. Second only to Open-Pave CGs for me. For so-called 23Cs I think they're fantastic.

I'd say unlucky too. My Triomps are bombproof. Barely a nick, and never a puncture after 2500 - 3000 miles.
  • swear by them, but 115 psi is way too low, you need between 130 and 150. They will take 175 apparently, but I'm worried what might happen if I tried it....I put 150 into mine on my TT bike on cosmic carbones.

I used to use the Fortezza Tricomps but though I found them to be light and roll well, I also found they cut up easily. I've now changed to Vittoria Rubino Pro. So far (100 miles) I'm very pleased as they seem tougher, lighter and cheaper. They also can be obtained in a range of colours and seem eaier to source.
