It might have something to do with 2007 when the championships were cancelled because of the flooding in Beverly?

It's not that, it's always been in September.

I think it has something to do with the two historical separate governing bodies in Britain from a time of stupendous pettiness. I don't know the details

    Not Canc?

Even he can't win races he doesn't enter. After all, he can't wear the jersey at the moment. (He's doing the RR)

Why on earth wouldn't he enter both?

He's only go to be good in the first week of the Tour, and hold it in in week 2 to get to the final TT without being totally shagged.

What's the point (other than training)? He's got nothing to prove. He can't wear the jersey until late September (at least).

Yup - thats correct. Team Type 1 have now tweeted an apology and blamed an "errant news report"

(Re: Why not Canc? - he hasn't been Swiss TT champ since 2009)

Is this event more restricted than the men's TT champs? Will the new doper free Italian championships adopt this name?

Surely Christian Poos 'trumps' Gatis. Isn't he the Luxemburg TT champ?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.
