Although I have some proper classics, an original Blind Faith album on vinyl in gate fold sleeve, and The Rolling Stones first Album on mono vinyl spring to mind. I do have some records of shame. Both (yes both) Milli Vanilli albums on CD and a Jive Bunny 12 inch picture disc takes some beating too.

First 7" vinyl was Rasputin - Boney M
First CD Club Classics Vol II - Soul II Soul

As the Now Thats albums seem to feature a lot in one form or another I do have nearly 13Gb of MP3s of the albums, probably all 78 albums
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

First 7": You can get it if you really want - Desmond Decker
First LP: Electric Warrior - T.Rex
    First Cassette: Scotch C90
First CD: Brilliant Trees - David Sylvian
First Download: In Rainbows - Radiohead

I didn't ever buy a prerecorded cassette, the sound quality was rubbish, but I made plenty of mix tapes. I still buy CDs but have started to shift to downloads but only when I can get uncompressed and preferably 24bit files. All my CDs are now on a NAS drive and I'm wondering what to do with the now uneccessary shelves and shelves of them, they'll probably go up in the loft.
