To be honest I've found citrus degreaser to be pretty rubbish - not sure I'd bother with any of it.0

I quite like the Fenwicks stuff which although still extortionate is cheaper when you buy a huge bottle ("only" £7.2 a litre):

Interested to know though if anyone does use non-bike alternatives for half the price.0 -
I was looking at this one on Ebay:

To be honest, given that bikes are painted in roughly the same manner as cars, and use roughly the same lubricants, I'd stick with car detailing stuff, rather than covering it in patio cleaner.
I actually wax the Trek (not polish it mind) with Zymol carnuba - expensive, but I've got so much car detailing (as it's known) stuff kicking around plastering a bit on the bike wasn't an issue.

The R222 cleaner is exceptionally good, and has no chemicals in it (from memory).
The Meguiars APC is ferociously strong - designed for cleaning car carpets before you hit them with the shampoo-vacuum. It is very good at getting old grease off - so you could wash chains/mech in it prior to relubing.0
