Has anyone got a shop to recommend for repairing an old steel frame?

My dad's 1971 Gianni Motta has a crack in the rear right dropout

I've managed to source an NOS set of Campag dropouts and am now looking for someone who can carefully cut the old one off and weld a new one on then do chrome plating

TIA!

You frame is probably brazed, not welded, but any of the following should be able to help:

    Argos in Bristol
    Mercian in Derby
    Atlantic Boulevard in Bury
    Bob Jackson in Leeds
    Paul Hewitt in Leyland
    Donohue in Northeast

Framebuilder will advise, but you might have to look at a paintjob too - as chrome is usually done before paint and any plating is likely to damage existing paintwork
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
