Waterproof

Hi im looking into buying a waterproof jacket. Has anyone got any suggestions. I've seen a Endura Stealth anyone got one or had one. your views would be welcome.

    Depends what you are trying to do (apart from keeping rain off obviously). I hardly ever use my Montane Stormrider. It's a great jacket being made from eVent but, like all waterproofs, its boil-in-the-bag effect is worse than anything less than the hardest, coldest rain. I tend to wear windproofs which keep less hard rain out or a Montane Featherlite in summer to keep me slightly warmer if I am getting soaked and cold. Mostly I just don't worry about the rain.

    ^^ completely agree !

    i wear a softshell type jacket (a rapha, sorry) and while not advertised as waterproof, it does a pretty good job of being waterproof for over an hour and a half.

    after that amount of constant rain it remains totally windproof so stops you getting too cold and it's very very breathable.

    there are a number of this type of jacket on the market to choose from - altura, endura and some of the DHB ones get a good review at the low / mid market points - costly options include castelli, Assos and rapha
