i was going to do a poll but i cant be bothered!

I have just finished my first full weeks commute - 16 mile round trip. last week i did 4 days (mon- thurs) and the previous week 3 days.

I've cycled in the very warm, the very wet (today), also this morning my lovely neighbour decided it was a good idea to start blaring her music at 3 am this morning and wake the dead (even after asking her to turn it down - i could still hear it and it was still going when i left this morning, so very little sleep last night/this morning) so when very tired.

As the title says.

Can now I call myself a commuter?

or do I have to wait til its dark when I leave in the morning and when i leave work? have to ride in the snow and at less than 5 degrees? before i can truly be a commuter.

I really don't want to get back on PT if that helps.

If you travel from home to a normal place of work, you can call yourself a commuter. ;)

But yeah, maybe you need to wait until the nasty, dark and cold commutes before you really get your wings. Until then, one might claim you're just a fair-weather bike commuter. Or maybe a summer bike commuter, since you said it rained today.

Or maybe anyone can wear the bike commuter badge, and the real hardcore can assume the label year-round bike commuter, or all-weather bike commuter, or hardcore bike commuter.

    I'm overthinking this, aren't I?
