Replacing Brake Cables in Dura Ace 7800 Levers
My brake cables have corroded quite badly and i have bought replacements but I can't seem to expose the cable at the lever end to replace! I have checked the Park Tools site and also Sheldon Brown and have found info on the 7900 where I have to remove the name plate (which I have done on mine) but underneath, instead of exposing the cable end, there is another nut which appears to have been threadlocked. Do I need to remove this nut?
After this, will I need to remove the handlebar tape to replace the cable? I thought it would be a fairly simple job!!
Thanks in advance, Freebs.

Pull your brake lever forward to your bars and look into the gap, it's a way down but you can see the nipple located in a barrel, if you disconnect the brake cable and push it back towards your sti lever, all will become clear.0
