I have gotten a set of Giant TCR Advanced SL 2 Carbon Road Fork 1” ¼ - 1” 1/8 to try on my new look kx frame. My question is this - will these fit or do i need a shim to convert the 1” ¼ to 1” 1/8?

thanks for your time

Not sure I understand exactly what you are asking, but I assume this means the Giant forks you want to use have a tapered steerer tube, with the 1.1/4" at the lower crown race and 1.1/8" at the upper end.

I doubt this will fit at all to your Look frame, which appears to have a straight 1.1/8" diameter head tube. The larger diameter Giant fork at the crown race end is too big?

Yup, unless the Look frame is designed to accept the 1.5" lower bearing the forks simply aren't going to fit. AFAIK the KX is an older model designed for a regular 1.125 headset.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
