Got my shortlist down but still undecided between Cinelli experience for £799 Cube attempt for £999 Focus cayo for £999 or Boardman team carbon for £1169. This would be my first road bike so will also need pedals, shoes etc so the Boardman is top end of my budget. Can anyone offer an opinion on the bikes mentioned.

The Cinelli and Cube featured in the best bike under £1000 back in March so you probably couldn't go much wrong with either of them, the Cube won it by the way. As for the Focus and the Boardman they always get good write ups. Best thing to do is try them all out as they have different manufacturer groupsets and see which you prefer to use, Campagnolo, Shimano or Sram and go on from there.Road - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12777154&p=16943702#p16943702

I got bored of waiting for the cinelli to come back in stock after waiting several weeks and am now looking at the Forme Vitesse. Is well worth adding to your list http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... -11-43327/0

thanks for advice will also look at Forme Vitesse. Is it worth stretching money that little bit more for a carbon frame or are the alu frames on bikes mentioned better value0

Cube all the way for me. Evey time I ride one of mine (Aerial & Litening) I get a shock at how much bike you get for your money, riding wise. Just cannot match the quality. All the others are great bikes (although cannot comment on the Forme) but for value for money and ride enjoyment the Cube wins for me.Raymondo

I have a Cinelli Xperience, with Campag Veloce. Awesome bike. I'm a big guy and it is plenty stiff, and even though it is aluminium it doesn't feel too harsh.Blogging about junior road bikes http://junior-road-bikes.tumblr.com0
