Trying to decide whether to buy Fulcrum Racing Zero or Racing Zero 2 way fit, does anyone have either of these? Differences appear to be the ability to use either tubs or clincher tyres, aero spokes & colour.

Doubtful i'll ever use tubs so leaning towards the plain racing zero's.

The don't take tubs, they can take tubeless tyres or clinchers. Tubeless tyres still hook under the wheel rim but don't need an inner tube.

I wouldn't bother with it because currently the selection of tubeless tyres is very limited, the TPI count is pretty low too, making for a less flexible tyre which ends up being heavier than a good clincher tyre+tube, especially if you add in some sealant fluid.

Get the normal version and save yourself some weight from the wheel itself, buy some nice high-TPI clinchers(open tubulars) and some latex tubes. Your wheels will be singing as you ride along, so smooth.

    what Rokkala said
2 way fit will also make it harder for you to mount some clincher tyres
  • i have the fulcrum racing zero two way fits.
the hutchinson tubeless atom tyres are superb they are easy to fit grip is excellent and the weight extra is very small when compared to ultremos plus a lightweight tube,
(and yes i weighed them side by side on my weight weenie scale not the quoted weights)
plus you get the added benefit of being able to run slightly less pressure in the tyres (better comfort on real life appaling roads) and the rolling resistance is less due to the lack of a tube.
and you get the benefit of being able to use liquid latex puncture protection in the tyre.
i actually own a set and up to now i'm very pleased with them.

They are exceptional wheels which I love the fact I've never ever punctured on them when riding 4 or 5 times a week a year on them, but come race day have to take off the tubeless and on with clincher just for the better tyre option, massive pain in the ar$e.
  • Many thanks for the advice, like the look of the two way fit a lot, but going to go for the normal ones
