Will an SRAM Powerlink fit a 9 speed Shimano chain?

As the title says, will it fit and work safely and smoothly? Google research suggests it should be okay, but would like some more reassurance.
Thank you.

Yes, but the KMC links are better and cheaper. (the sram links can be very difficult to remove when they get a bit of grit/grot in them)

I use Shimano 9spd chain and KMC links and the combination works great. The Connex links work well too, but they are directional and I was forever getting them the wrong way round (the link then tends to skip on the smallest sprocket)
