Broken shifter return spring, chorus 11.

As above, it's the spring that holds the right hand lever forwards against the brake. It broke today, I can still shift but the lever flops around.

I gather I can't buy the spring itself, but does anyone know if there is a repair kit or assembly, and if so where from?

It's 2010 Chorus 11, possibly under warranty but as I have some races coming up this weekend (and only one bike) I have to sort it pretty quickly.

Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

  • Thanks for the info!
After some frantic calling, my LBS can get the whole RH shifter assembly tomorrow for around 90€ (I'm in Spain), but the distributor only has Super Record in stock. I think it's only the lever that's different between SR and Chorus anyway. There's only a 5€ difference in price too... it seems too cheap to me (not in the sense that it's a crappy 2c spring that's broken obviously  ), would expect an SR unit to be horrendously expensive, so I hope it's the right part.

If that works out ok, I can get the broken unit repaired as a spare, at the place Velonutter posted, without having to go bikeless... or use it for parts. Cheers!
