Hi all,
Does any of you have any experience in the GT XCR 1000, I believe ths bike was a 1999 and was manufactured in the US and was one of the last success stories before GT went into administartion? (Can anyone confirm this?)
What are they like, i recently purchased a frame off of a car boot and am now considering restoring it and getting it ready for the trials?
Thoughts would be appreciated.
Mickey

They made them for a number of years, was the second highest model in the range under the LE, albeit many shared the same frame.
At the time it was a leap forward in suspension design, but is heavy: and check those bearings and linkages as they are prone to dirt ingress.
It should sport 4.6 inches of travel. If it is in good condition it would make a nice little project for XC and trail riding.0 -
