got the upgrading bug... dam my love of bikes, its costing me fortunes lol.
ive got a 2010 trek 1.5 compact that came with bontrager approved rims (i thinks these are bontrager race). they are pretty solid and have handled potwholes that i havent seen when riding very well. havent buckled or anything.
what new wheelset would you recommend... i want to get more speed, lighten the bike, improve climbs etc... the usual... i got about 400 max ideally less though to spend. im weighing in at 64kg

I paid under 200 for mine from Ribble, I think they're a bit more now - but not that dear.
They're about 1500g and roll well. I put a set on my Cannondale which up until then was running a 2kg set. Totally transformed the bike. Accelerates much better and hill climbing is transformed (I do a lot of big hills up here). For that kind of money you can't go wrong. Most other brands are double the price for something that weight. Only others that come close are Planet-X model B's (125 quid).http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

Yep, very popular. Ribble had some about two weeks ago and they were all gone in a few days. If you register an interest on the website they'll email you when they get more. That's what I had to do.also will my rear chainring fit directly onto the shimano hub version?
Should do.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

Very nice. But as we all know, to be properly aero and fast, all wheels need to be 30mm in depth. These somewhat half-arsed (or 1∕3 arsed to be precise) 20mm efforts just will not cut it!Let's close our eyes and see what happens0 -
just replaced my bontager wheels with handbuilt.
Mavic open pro rims on Ultegra hubs. Defo lighter and will hopefully stay truer longer.
Not had chance to ride them yet, but it all seems good so far
oh and it only cost me £300 with new tubes and tapes0
