I have a new set of bargain fsa k wing bars to fit to my bike but need to reroute the brake and gear cables. I have no issue doing the brakes but I am concerned qabout the gears as I run the risk of having to have the gears adjusted by a mechanic. I am not stupid but no expert either. If you were me would you have
a go or pay a mechanic to fit the bars? Therer are a few vidoes on you tube and it dosent seem too difficult.

Try it yourself and if you cant get the gears sorted - then call in the mechanic ? As you say though - its not that hard.

Give a man a fish and he'll eat today. Teach him how to fish and he'll feed himself forever.

It's time to learn how to fish. To fish for gear cables.

    We're proud of you.

Going to have a crack at this at the weekend. Can someone just confirm when replacing the cables which position should the front derailleur be in? i know on the rear it needs to be on the smallest cog on the cassette.
  • same for the front, ie: small chain ring
