Mounting new Shimano Brakes
trail jacker
Posts: 844
Hi all,
Decided to replace my Juicy's with some Shimano Deore disc brakes. I was wondering if the spacers (in the rings)...
...that are used to mount the Avid's should be removed when I mount the Shimano's, or if I should leave them on?
Thanks

they are for the avids only."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Ok, so the Shimano's would go directly onto the adaptors?Carbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0

yes. but you many need diferent sized rotors.
You dont say what you have now."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

well if you are keeping the same discs yes it will be fine. if you are changing rotors you may have to make some changes."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
