Scratched Rim......a problem?

Evening all, had a bit of a tumble today and on top of the destroyed kit and road rash, I only noticed once I got home that my front Pro-Lite Bracciano has a big scratch across the rim and braking surface.

The wheel seems ok and true and I didn't notice any issues when braking but I just thought I'd mention and see if anyone could think of any potential issues I should look out for?

Thanks

if it's not dented or rubbing when you brake then it will be fine.
If you don't like the scratch being there polish it out gently with some fine wet & dry or emery cloth :D

I've had the same problem when I hit a pothole in the dark.

Big scratch which I polished with a Dremel - it's still visible, but doesn't seem to be affecting brake pad wear, which was my worry. LBS have checked the rim, and are confident that although scratch is deep, it hasn't weakened the rim.
