Recommend me a Gilet

I had a Castelli Leggero Gilet until the weekend when the zip broke! I liked the fit etc but a little reluctant to repurchase as the zip was a pretty flimsy.
Can anyone recommend me another similar light, windproof and breathable gilet suitable for cool summer mornings. Needs to fit into a jersey pocket for when I heat up!
Ta, in advance.

Get on to the place you bought it and get it repaired...
Castelli stuff is about the best stuff out there tbh.0 -
If the place you bought it can't help, local tailor/clothes taking in shop will be able to assist.
Worth also a google of Castelli itself - they may have a returns service like Assos who will repair stuff FOC.

try the UK importers as well (Saddleback). If there is no joy try a tailors and if you have to buy another I just got the Assos Blitzfeder (sleeveless) which packs down ridiculously small. However, the smaller they pack, the flimsier the zip.M.Rushton0 -
Assos lightweight gilet , nice good solid zip on it, and breathes well, probably my most used piece of kit, take it everywhere when may conceivably need it . Some sizes were / are half price on Wiggle I think0

I have one by Craft and it's pretty good at what it does.0

I have a number of Gilets and last year bought a Shutt one, it's OK but nothing to write home about.
I will buy an Assos Climajet one as I have their waterproof jacket and it is the dogs bollox, I should have bought one of their Gilets in the first place.0 -
Interestingly (or not), if you look at www.velodramatic.com and the section of photos from Mt.Baldy, there is a picture of Hincapie wearing the Assos climajet gilet. He has his own clothing co. rides for BMC yet uses an Assos bit of kit - a god advert for themM.Rushton0

pro bike kit have 40% off the castelli stuff right now including the gilets. http://www.probikekit.com/uk/clearance/ ... -sale.html
if you wanted to get the same again0 -
Hmm, white or yellow Castelli Leggero?
Could buy both for less than the Assos.

Cheers for the input everyone. Ordered another Castelli in a different colour in the PBK sale, will try to get this one fixed in the meantime.0

Damn, PBK sales items disappear before you can even load the page. Would've picked one of those Castellis up in stealth black.0
