Like many on here I have been lurking for a while but following a collision with a washing machine last week (hence the name) I now have time on my hands whilst recovering from a broken collar bone.

After the incident a jogger stopped to assist but I did not have the brain power to take a note of her name. It is an long-shot I know but if she is a member here (or if anyone else saw what happened) could she please contact me. The incident took place at around 7.30 last Friday, 20 May, on that part of Tooley St running between Dockhead and Tower Bridge Road.

All comments gratefully received. I am aware of how lucky I was to have a "clean break" in the circumstances but sadly I do not know if the machine was on its spin cycle.

Cheers

    No ulterior motive.

This is effectively a oneway street for traffic. Unfortunately, a delivery van was parked in my lane facing towards me and as I cycled along the side of it one of the occupants wheeled what I discovered to be a fridge/ washing machine filled box straight into my path. I managed to avoid hitting it straight on but could not avoid it completely and ended up in a heap on the road. :(

Oh for God's sake - I know someone got hurt, but this one could run and run

Did the washing machine come clean? Or have they done the dirty and blamed you?

Given the circumstances a tumble dryer would've been more appropriate...

So it took you clean out even at 30 degrees?

Keep up the good work. I knew it was going to be bad when the lawyers dealing with the claim said they were sorry for not calling sooner because they had been laughing about it!

Suppose being taken out by a white good was always going to be noteworthy but I still wish I could get details for the witness.

Being taken out by white goods makes a change from being taken out by a white van.

Hope you recover soon and that the lawyers dont' spin it out for too long.

As you were about to hit it, and the look over terror came over your face, was there a heavy soil moment. Still I think you were Bold going to close to the van, Persilonally, I would have given it a wider berth.

*hope you ok, and get the details you need!

I assume there's a (hot)point to all this tomfoolery? This poor person comes here looking for some advice and, maybe, Comfort.

Indesit? How come you didn't see the guy wheeling the washing machine? Were you drefting behind a bus or something?

You were very Lucky - Goldstar for managing to avoid a head on collision. Hoo ver hell just pushes something out from behind a van without looking! Did they not Sie men sycling towards them"

I'm Bushed, Bekos it's too much hard work thinking of these jokes...

I've had an accident too - if you find a lawyer who's Hotpoint them in my direction....
