BeOne Bikes - Anyone?

Hi all,
I've just seen some BeOne bikes on Chain Reaction Cycles going for a great price - think the models were the 2010 Mistral, Blizzard and Storm. They are on nearly half price at the minute and seem well specced. Wondered what these bikes were like? Anybody any experience with them?
Also, what exactly is an 'integrated seat post'?? Does this mean it can't be adjusted etc?? Seems odd if that were the case, but i've not come across this 'integrated' term before with relation to seatposts....
Cheers
Rob

BeOne are a Dutch company marketing an own-branded range of products; typically branded generic stuff from the likes of XPA.
Integrated seat post (ISP) means that you have to cut-down the seat mast to your size to which you fit a special adaptor clamp. You have to be pretty accurate as there's often little scope for adjustment and get it wrong (too short) and you're screwed.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0 -
Seen them on CRC and they are a proper bargain I reckon.
How often are you likely to be altering your seat height? Can't see it being a massive problem unless you were going to sell it.0 -

I have had a BeOne Briza for a couple of years and I love it. It's been a fantastic bike!
Highly recommended!0 -

They're great bikes, it's just a shame that they're sold by CRC. I had a few issues with mine (Storm 2010) when it arrived and CRC didn't want to know.
If you're not comfortable setting up a bike (indexing gears, etc) then budget a trip to your local bike shop. When my bike arrived it was downright dangerous to ride despite the check list in the box saying the bike had been checked (rear derailleur was skimming spokes etc). Along with a few other issues on the bike, I wasn't impressed by their service.
I used to be a big fan of CRC, but I don't shop with them any more. Combined with the credit card fraud issues they had, I'd rather take my business to someone else personally.0 -
I just emailed CRC asking what the crank/stem length was on one of their BeOne bikes in size small.
The answer I got
"Unfortunately we dont list this information on the website. if you order a bike with us and you are not happy with the components you can send it back for an exchange or a refund. All the bikes come with the spec listed on the website. I hope this has been of assistance to you."
So if it's not on the website they an't tell you. Good service that. Avoid? I don't mind if it doesn't come set up too well but I'd like to know what I'm buying.0 -
Oh and the prices just jumped up!0

I have a Karma 3.0 mountain bike and I love it - I'd definitely consider one of their road bikes.
If you need info on the bikes, email BeOne directly - they're good to deal with and very helpful.0 -

They are even worse when something goes wrong. Shocking company to deal with.0
